Fair Trade

 Fair trade promotes and supports wages that are fair thereby helping artisans and craftspeople in developing countries earn a livable wage. Certification of fair trade practices comes from two main sources: the Fair Trade Federation and the International Federation of Alternative Trade.

TransFair USA is now developing a new fair trade certified apparel and home goods program that extends strong labor protections to garment workers.  The program should result in fair trade certified merchandise on the shelves in the USA as early as this spring.

 Fair Made

Fair made clothing and other merchandise is produced by workers who are paid a fair wage within the local economies in which they work and who are working under safe and humane conditions.
